Ironvale Bastion
Ironvale Bastion is the kind of strategy game that respects your time once you learn its rhythm. You carve out a fortress, manage a handful of resources, and plan defences against increasingly clever raider parties. The twist is that terrain does half the work — place your walls wrong and you funnel enemies straight into your storehouse.
The tactical layer is deeper than the cartoony look suggests. Unit positioning, supply lines, and timing your counterattacks all feed into whether a siege holds. We lost a few bases early on simply because we built too fast and thought too little.
Performance is solid even on mid-range phones, and the menus stay out of your way. If you want something to chew on during a long evening, this is an easy recommendation.
What we liked
- Terrain-driven defence
- Deep but readable systems
- Runs well on older phones
