About

Amber Fox Games started as a group chat where a few friends kept arguing about which tower defence game had the best wave design. At some point we decided to write it all down properly, and the site grew out of that. We still play on our own phones, buy or download the games ourselves, and take our time before publishing anything.

Our focus is narrow on purpose: strategy, tower defence, and the games that borrow ideas from both. When something lands in a different genre, like an RPG or a racer, we still cover it if the tactical layer is interesting enough to talk about.

We pick games by playing everything that looks promising and keeping only what survives a week of real use. If a title bores us after three sessions, it usually does not make the catalogue. We would rather write less and mean it.

There is no company behind this, just a small editorial team and a lot of saved game files. If you disagree with a rating, good — tell us why.

Jonas Keller — Jonas has been reviewing mobile games for over a decade and still gets annoyed when a tutorial won't let him skip it. He handles most of the strategy and tower defence coverage.
